A TikTok user accidentally poisoned herself after sniffing an innocent-looking flower. Singer-songwriter Raffaela Weyman, who lives in Toronto, Canada, was walking with her best friend when she came across the big yellow flower with a scent that Ms. Weyman described as “delicious” in a now video. viral.

The two stopped to smell the flower – on several occasions – and filmed each other doing so. Soon after, however, they started to feel bad.

“When we got to our friend’s birthday, we suddenly felt so crazy and had to leave,” Ms. Weyman said in her TikTok clip, which went viral on the video-sharing platform.

She also shared the video and photos on Instagram, explaining that after taking them, she and her friend started to feel “really weird” and had to go home. “I had my first dream of sleep paralysis and the craziest nightmares,” she described.

Ms. Weyman’s flower, known as the angel’s trumpet, turned out to contain scopolamine, which has been described as the scariest drug in the world. According to Vice News, the TikToker and his friend had inadvertently poisoned themselves with the potentially deadly narcotic.

Angel’s Trumpet contains belladonna alkaloids including atropine, hyoscyamine and scopolamine. Scopolamine – also known as devil’s breath – has a reputation for being an extremely dangerous drug. In 2012, a documentary by Vice dubbed it “the scariest drug in the world”.

“I started to feel really out of balance and unable to socialize, my legs were tired and the floor was uneven,” Ms. Weyman explained of her symptoms. News week.
